Email signature · Freelancers
As a freelancer you're the company, the sales team and the help desk. Your signature does a bit of all three, every time you hit send.
Hi Lars,
Here's the first draft of the homepage copy. I've written two versions of the headline; tell me which one sounds more like you.
Kind regards,
Why it matters
Clients forward your emails to colleagues. If your signature says what you do and links to your work, that forward can turn into your next project.
A short 'Booking projects from March' line answers the first question new clients have, without you having to say no.
Your business name, website and registration details make you look established, and save you a 'can you send your details for our admin?' email.

Freelancers · FAQ
Rules differ per country, and we can't give legal advice. In the Netherlands it's common practice for businesses to include their KvK number in emails, and many freelancers add their VAT ID too. Check with your local chamber of commerce if you're unsure.
No need. A city or region tells clients where you're based. If you work from home, keep your street address for invoices and contracts.
As a freelancer, clients hire you, not a brand, so a photo usually helps. It makes a first email from a stranger feel like it comes from a person.
